On-site probe of battery maker over plane mishap

KYOTO, Japan - Photo shows the headquarters of GS Yuasa Corp. in Kyoto's Minami Ward on Jan. 21, 2013. Japanese and U.S. transport authorities conducted an on-site inspection the same day of GS Yuasa, which supplies batteries to Boeing Co.'s 787 Dreamliners, following an emergency landing by one of the aircraft on Jan. 16 at Takamatsu Airport in western Japan, the Japanese transport ministry said.
