Japanese eel designated as species at risk of extinction
TOKYO, Japan - Undated file photo shows Japanese eels. The Environment Ministry on Feb. 1, 2013, designated the Japanese eel as a species at risk of extinction on its non-legally binding red list of endangered freshwater and brackish water fish.
