Post-Fukushima crisis disaster mitigation guidelines

Ex-Fukushima Daiichi plant chief Yoshida dies

Yoshida died of esophageal cancer at a Tokyo hospital on July 9, 2013, Tokyo Electric Power Co. said. He was 58. After the Fukushima complex was hit by tsunami waves following a huge earthquake, Yoshida took command of the situation in an isolated building on the plant's premises.

Iodine tablets help prevent thyroid cancer
