JR Kyushu exhibition in Bangkok

BANGKOK, Thailand - Designer Eiji Mitooka visits an exhibition in Bangkok on March 16, 2013, showcasing train models he designed for Kyushu Railway Co., known as JR Kyushu. When Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra visited Japan in April 2012, she was impressed by the bullet train services operated by JR Kyushu, both in their technical and design aspects. She then invited JR Kyushu and Mitooka to exhibit their successful experience in Thailand.

            KUMAMOTO, Japan 25 Kyodo - The Kumamoto city government unveils a new tram to the press on Sept. 12, 2014, in the southwestern Japanese city. The tramcar was designed by Eiji Mitooka, designer of Kyushu Railway Co.'s luxury sleeper train.

              Hokkaido Shinkansen new station named 'Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto'

              SAPPORO, Japan - Hokkaido Railway Co.'s new station building is under construction in Hokuto, Hokkaido, in March 2014. JR Hokkaido announced on June 11, 2014, that the name of the new station for the Hokkaido Shinkansen bullet train is "Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto." The bullet train line is planned to begin operating in 2016 spring.
