KLM begins Fukuoka-Amsterdam flights
FUKUOKA, Japan - A KLM Boeing 777 jet carrying about 300 passengers lands at Fukuoka airport at around 8 a.m. on April 4, 2013, with fire trucks on a taxiway spraying an arch of water to welcome the aircraft. KLM Royal Dutch Airlines launched a direct fight service between Fukuoka and Amsterdam the same day, becoming the first carrier to regularly connect the southwestern Japanese city with Europe.
