Laotians call for world without landmines
NEW YORK, United States - Thoummy Silamphan (R), who lost his hand to a landmine as a child in Laos, and Manixia Thor (C), a member of an all-female bomb-clearing team in the country, speak at the U.N. headquarters in New York on April 4, 2013, International Mine Awareness day. They spoke about the damage caused by cluster bombing in their country, calling for a world without the deadly weapons.
