Okinawa base land return
TOKYO, Japan - U.S. Ambassador to Japan John Roos (L) and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe shake hands at Abe's office in Tokyo on April 5, 2013. Japan and the United States outlined a new time frame for relocating the U.S. Marine Corps' Futenma Air Station in Okinawa Prefecture, saying that land used for the base can be returned in "fiscal 2022 or later."
