Taiwan live-fire drill
MAGONG, Taiwan - The Thunderbolt2000, a locally manufactured "artillery multiple-launch rocket system" designed to counter an enemy amphibious assault landing, is used during Taiwan's first live-fire drill since 2008 on the outlying Penghu Islands in the Taiwan Strait on April 17, 2013. The exercise is aimed at testing Taiwan's ability to fend off an attack from China, simulating attacks by sea, air and land.
