Industry-gov't-academia alliance in Kyushu seeks to host ILC
SAGA, Japan - Photo taken March 27, 2013 shows granite confirmed by ground surveys in Karatsu, Saga Prefecture. The surveys confirmed a layer of quake-resistant granite to a depth of more than 600 meters under the city in the Sefuri mountain area where local governments, businesses and academia in Kyushu hope to host the International Linear Collider, the next-generation accelerator.
