Japan-Taiwan fishing pact
ISHIGAKI, Japan - Aerial photo taken by Kyodo News shows the Chinese maritime surveillance vessel Haijian 15 (front) and the Japan Coat Guard patrol ship Amagi sailing in the so-called contiguous zone northwest of Uotsuri Island, part of the Japanese-controlled Senkaku Islands, on May 10, 2013. A bilateral fishery agreement came into force the same day allowing Taiwanese fishing boats to operate in Japan's 200-nautical-mile exclusive economic zone near the Senkaku Islands in the East China Sea.
