Japan to ratify child custody pact
TOKYO, Japan - The House of Councillors approves a bill necessary for Japan to join an international treaty to help settle cross-border child custody disputes, during a plenary session in Tokyo on May 22, 2013. Japan plans to ratify the 1980 Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction by the end of the fiscal year through March 2014.
