Power self-sufficiency town
OSAKA, Japan - Photo taken in Sakai, Osaka Prefecture, on June 6, 2013, shows an area of residential quarters, developed by Daiwa House Industry Co., comprising 65 detached homes all equipped with solar panels and battery storages, aiming to be the first town in Japan self-sufficient in electricity. Daiwa House held a ceremony the same day to mark the opening of the residential quarters.
