UNESCO formally names Mt. Fuji as World Heritage site
FUJIYOSHIDA, Japan - Shigeru Horiuchi, the mayor of Fujiyoshida, a Yamanashi Prefecture city located north of Mt. Fuji, puts up a poster celebrating the inscription of the 3,776-meter mountain on the U.N. agency's prestigious World Heritage List in his office on June 22, 2013.
