S. Korea lodges protest with Japan

SEOUL, South Korea - Takashi Kurai (C), deputy chief of mission at the Japanese Embassy in South Korea, leaves the Foreign Ministry in Seoul on July 9, 2013. The ministry called in Kurai to deliver a protest against Japan for describing South Korea-controlled islets in the Sea of Japan, known as Dokdo in Korean and Takeshima in Japanese, as Japanese territory in the Defense White Paper for 2013 released earlier in the day.
