Artificial rain
TOKYO, Japan - The Tokyo metropolitan government runs on a trial basis an artificial rain facility housed in a hut in the town of Okutama, western Tokyo, on Aug. 21, 2013. The facility to release silver iodide mixed with acetone to up in the air was operated for the first time in 12 years in light of low storage levels in dams in the area.
