Thousands of Filipinos rally against corruption

MANILA, Philippines - Facundo Encarnado, 78, joins a rally in the Philippine capital Manila on Aug. 26, 2013, calling for the abolition of a corruption-tainted development assistance fund for the pet projects of Philippine senators and congressmen. The call was triggered by allegations that around 10 billion pesos (almost $236 million) from the development assistance fund found its way into private pockets in the last few years.
