Additional Osprey aircraft deployed in Okinawa

NAHA, Japan - An MV-22 Osprey tilt-rotor aircraft lands at the U.S. Marines' Futenma Air Station in Ginowan, Okinawa Prefecture, on Sept. 25, 2013. The plane was the last of an additional batch of the aircraft deployed at the U.S. Marines' Futenma Air Station in Ginowan, joining 11 others that arrived in August, in addition to 12 deployed in October 2012. Opposition to the deployment of the aircraft remains strong in Okinawa due to safety concerns.
