Law enacted to create Japanese NSC
TOKYO, Japan - The House of Councillors passes a bill to create a Japanese version of the U.S. National Security Council during a plenary session in Tokyo on Nov. 27, 2013. The bill was enacted into law to give the prime minister's office greater power in crafting foreign and defense policies to tackle security threats in Asia.
