Japanese opposition lawmaker says he will give up Diet seat
TOKYO, Japan - Hideo Higashikokubaru, an opposition Japan Restoration Party member of the House of Representatives, speaks at a news conference in the Diet building in Tokyo on Dec. 11, 2013, after submitting a note to leave the party. Higashikokubaru, a popular former Miyazaki governor, said he will also give up his lower house seat.
