Supporting typhoon-hit island through power of song

TOKYO, Japan - Members of a citizens' choir on Izu Oshima Island practice songs from the opera "The Lady of Camellias" on Jan. 15, 2014, in the town of Oshima in preparation for their performance at a camellia festival. The members hope their singing will help lift spirits and build momentum for reconstruction on the island, which was hit by a powerful typhoon last year.
