Japan launches satellite to monitor global rainfall

TANEGASHIMA, Japan - Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd. President Shunichi Miyanaga (extreme L) and others celebrate Japan's successful launch of an H-2A rocket carrying a satellite for monitoring worldwide precipitation at the Tanegashima Space Center in Kagoshima Prefecture, southwestern Japan, on Feb. 28, 2014. The satellite was developed jointly by U.S. and Japanese space agencies.
