Japan to propose festivals as UNESCO heritage

Japan's internal affairs minister to visit Yasukuni

TOKYO, Japan - File photo shows Sanae Takaichi, Japan's internal affairs minister. Takaichi said at a press conference in Tokyo on Oct. 14, 2014, that she plans to visit Tokyo's war-linked Yasukuni Shrine, a frequent source of friction with Asian neighbors, during its fall festival to be held from Oct. 17 to 20.
