Korean guide on racist slurs
TAKAMATSU, Japan - Photo taken in December 2013 in Zentsuji, Kagawa Prefecture, shows Choi Sang Hee of South Korea, the first non-Japanese woman to qualify as a guide for an 88-temple pilgrimage course on western Japan's Shikoku Island. In a phone interview on the night of April 10, 2014, regarding the recent posting of racist signs possibly targeting her trail marker stickers on the pilgrimage routes, Choi said she is perplexed by the issue but still loves the Japanese people.
