SEONGNAM, South Korea - The unveiling ceremony for a bronze statue of a girl, a memorial for women forced into sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese military, is held in Seongnam, South Korea, on April 15, 2014. It is the fourth such statue erected in the country.

The interviews were conducted at the office of the association in July 1993 by the Japanese government with victims of World War II sexual slavery to produce a 1993 apology known as the Kono statement.
