Anime-themed Japanese sword exhibition to open in Paris
PARIS, France - Visitors look at traditional Japanese swords and replicas of blades that appeared in the animation series "Neon Genesis Evangelion" at an exhibition at the Japan Cultural Institute in Paris, France, on April 29, 2014, a day before the exhibition opens to the public. The "Evangelion and Japanese Swords" show was devised with the Bizen Osafune Japanese Sword Museum in Okayama Prefecture. About 50 sword craftsmen produced pieces inspired by the anime such as "the Spear of Longinus" and the "Magoroku Sword."
