Wildlife center in south Japan eyes World Heritage listing
AMAMI, Japan - The renovated Amami Wildlife Conservation Center in Yamato on Amami-Oshima Island, Kagoshima Prefecture, southwestern Japan, is one of the prefecture's candidate sites for UNESCO's World Natural Heritage designation. The picture of the Environment Ministry-owned center was taken in April 2014.
