Ritual parade at Nara temple reproduces legend
NARA, Japan - Buddhist "saints" wearing gold-colored masks march on a wooden bridge at an annual "Nerikuyo" parade at Taima-dera temple in Katsuragi, Nara Prefecture, western Japan, on May 14, 2014. The event is designed to reproduce a legend of "Chujyohime" princess, who is said to have turned into a Buddha while she was still alive.
