Thai military summons activists, some politicians still detained
BANGKOK, Thailand - Thai military and riot police block a road in Bangkok on May 24, 2014, to prevent a rally by supporters of ousted Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra, sister of former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra. The Thai military summoned political activists and academics the same day to report to an army camp in Bangkok, while some politicians, including deposed Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra, were still under detention following the May 22 coup.
