Landscape-conscious design applied to new National Stadium

TOKYO, Japan - An expert panel discusses an alternative design of the new National Stadium, the main venue of the 2020 Summer Olympics and Paralympics, in Tokyo on May 28, 2014. The panel approved a plan to lower the height of the structure from around 75 meters to around 70 meters in view of surrounding landscapes.
