Japan parliament approves bill to revise referendum law

TOKYO, Japan - Japan's House of Councillors approves a revision bill for the national referendum law by a majority vote on June 13, 2014. The bill is aimed at lowering the minimum voting age for national referendums four years after the revision takes effect, amid Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's push for constitutional reform.
