N. Korea fires short-range ballistic missiles
TOKYO, Japan - File photo taken in July 2013 shows a Scud short-range ballistic missile in a military parade at Pyongyang's Kim Il Sung Square. North Korea fired two short-range ballistic missiles toward the Sea of Japan early on July 9, 2014, and the projectiles, which appear to be versions of the Scud missile, flew about 500 kilometers, according to South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff.
