Okinawa okays seabed drilling off Henoko for U.S. base move
FUKUOKA, Japan - The Okinawa prefectural government approves the start of seabed drilling off the Henoko area in Nago on Aug. 28, 2014, a necessary step to fill in an offshore zone and build a replacement facility for the U.S. Marine Corps' Futenma air station in Ginowan in the southwestern Japan prefecture.
