Traditional bamboo crafts targeting U.S. market

OITA, Japan - Bamboo crafts are exhibited at the Beppu Art Museum in Beppu, Oita Prefecture, southwestern Japan, in August 2014, prior to a month-long exhibition and trade show at the Japanese American Cultural and Community Center from September to October in Los Angeles. Bamboo craft producers are trying to sell their products overseas as artwork rather than artisan ware.
