Weather satellite Himawari-8 to be launched
TANEGASHIMA, Japan - Weather satellite Himawari-8 installed in an H-2A rocket is to be launched at the Tanegashima Space Center, located in southwestern Japan, on Oct. 7, 2014. It is the first weather observation satellite to be launched in Japan since the Himawari-7 was launched in February 2006.
