Popular character Doraemon criticized by China paper

BEIJING, Japan - Robot character Doraemon figures are popular with visitors at a Beijing shopping center in this file photo taken in May 2014. The Chengdu Daily in Sichuan Province, southwestern China, warned in its Sept. 26 edition that the character, which is being used as a cultural ambassador and for various other purposes, is a political tool of the Japanese government.
