Using bees to protect elephants from poaching

MAASAI MARA, Kenya - Locals set up a hive box near Maasai Mara National Reserve in south-west Kenya in August 2014, at entrance of a forest to keep elephants, known to avoid bees, in the forest. The effort is expected to protect elephants from poachers and financially support local residents with honey harvest.
