AKITA, Japan - Photo shows cover and several inside pages from "Hamanasu ha mita," a story based on the U.S. bombing of the Tsuchizaki region of Akita City in northeastern Japan on the night of Aug. 14 and early Aug. 15, 1945. Japan's unconditional surrender in WWII was announced on Aug. 15, 1945.
