Fukushima starts making 'ampo-gaki' dried persimmons
KOORI, Japan - Lots of persimmons are hung for drying at a farmer's workroom in Koori, Fukushima Prefecture, northeastern Japan, on No. 1, 2014. The region's specialty called "ampo-gaki" (semi-dried persimmons) is made by smoking the fruit and drying them for about a month.
