Museum for Satsuma students who brave isolation policy

KAGOSHIMA, Japan - Satsuma Students Museum in Ichikikushikino, Kagoshima Prefecture, southwestern Japan, is seen in September 2014. The museum, opened in July, is dedicated to 19 young Satsuma Domain students who went to Britain to study in the closing days of national isolation in the 19th century.
