Spacecraft Orion developed for Mars trip lifts off on 1st test flight
CAPE CANAVERAL, United States - A Delta 4 Heavy rocket, carrying NASA's next-generation spacecraft Orion, lifts off from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida on Dec. 5, 2014 in its first unmanned test flight. Orion was developed to carry astronauts to an asteroid in the 2020s and to Mars in the 2030s.
