Bangladeshi lowland submerged by rising sea level
CHARIPARA, Bangladesh - Roots of coconut trees are seen exposed near the village of Charipara in southern Bangladesh on Dec. 1, 2014, due to erosion from floods caused by rising sea levels. Experts estimate that about 17% of Bangladesh's lowland will be submerged by as early as 2070.
