Japan fleet leaves for whale stock survey in Antarctic
SHIMONOSEKI, Japan - The Yushin Maru, a ship of Japan's Fisheries Agency, departs from the western Japanese port of Shimonoseki on Jan. 8, 2015, for the Antarctic Ocean to conduct a survey of whale stocks in place of an annual whaling mission that the International Court of Justice ordered the country to stop in 2014.
