Massive pottery plates found from over 70 holes in Kyoto
KYOTO, Japan - A worker digs out pieces of pottery ware from more than 70 holes, believed to date back to a period from the 12th to 16th centuries, at an excavation site in Kyoto, western Japan, on Jan. 8, 2015. The holes are believed to be either for ritual or burial purposes.
