New logo for Japanese-made clothing items

TOKYO, Japan - The Japan Fashion Industry Council announces on Jan. 14, 2015, it will allow the "J 竏 QUALITY" logo on clothing items that are completely manufactured in Japan, through weaving and knitting, dyeing and finishing, and sewing, to endorse the quality of the merchandise.

      On August 22, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) announced that three convenience store companies, Seven-Eleven Japan, FamilyMart, and Lawson, will begin a demonstration experiment for joint delivery. For one week from August 1, the delivery trucks will be sent from each company's distribution bases to XFRONTIER, a joint delivery center of Sagawa Express (Koto Ward, Tokyo). They will then deliver beverages, confectionery, daily goods and other items to a total of 40 stores in the bay area of Tokyo.
