Various clocks dedicated to shrine at time festival in western Japan
OTSU, Japan, June 15 Kyodo - Women dressed in ancient court attire dedicate new clocks and wristwatches at a festival at Omi Shrine in Otsu, Shiga Prefecture, western Japan, on June 10, 2015, known as Time Day. The festival is held to commemorate the day when Emperor Tenji reportedly used the first water clock in Japan in 671.
