Working-level officials kick off 2-day talks on N. Korea energy aid
PANMUNJEOM, Korean Demilitarized Zone - Japan's chief delegate Junichi Ihara is seated as working-level officials from six country in talks on ending North Korea's nuclear weapons program kick off a two-day meeting at the truce village Panmunjeom on Aug. 7. The talks are expected to discuss details regarding how to ship and store 950,000 tons of heavy oil or equivalent aid to the North, which is known to have a storage facility for only 200,000 tons a year.
