Mechanic plays role in saving lives of passengers from exploded plane

NAHA, Japan - Airport mechanics help passengers of the China Airline plane that exploded evacuate at Naha airport on Aug. 20. Sources familiar with the investigation into the accident by the Aircraft and Railway Accidents Investigation Commission said on Aug. 23 that the captain of the plane made the decision to evacuate all passengers, following the advice of a mechanic who saw fuel leaking from the plane.
