Nukaga, Paulson agree to cooperate closely on economy

TOKYO, Japan - Japanese Finance Minister Fukushiro Nukaga (R) meets with U.S. Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson in Tokyo on Feb. 9 ahead of a meeting of Group of Seven financial chiefs. Nukaga and Paulson ''agreed to continue to cooperate closely and to maintain a good working relationship,'' the Japanese Finance Ministry said in a statement released after the bilateral talks.
