Rope-supported pine trees glow gold in light
KANAZAWA, Japan - Pine trees supported by ropes and poles glow gold under illumination in Kenroku-en Garden in Kanazawa, Ishikawa Prefecture, on Feb. 3, 2014. The support, known as yuki-tsuri (snow suspender), is a technique to protect tree branches from breaking under the weight of snow by means of ropes and bamboo poles.
