Koizumi leaves for tsunami relief summit in Jakarta
TOKYO, Japan - Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi leaves Haneda airport in Tokyo for Jakarta on Jan. 5 to attend a meeting of world leaders to coordinate relief efforts for victims of the earthquake-triggered Indian Ocean tsunami disaster. ''I think we will have to provide as much help as we can in terms of financial aid, relief goods and personnel assistance,'' Koizumi told reporters before his departure.
